Racing in Vietnam’s heat and humidity can change perceived effort, hydration needs and pacing. Gopeaks proposes a supervised 10–14-day programme to help overseas triathletes prepare thoughtfully.
Proposed progression
Days 1–2: athlete intake, baseline review and heat-safety preparation. Days 3–6: conservative, gradual exposure with monitoring. Days 7–10: sport-specific sessions and race strategy under suitable conditions. Days 11–14: tapering load, recovery and race-day safety planning.
Safety is essential
No forced dehydration or unsafe heat sessions. Weather monitoring, stop rules, accessible cooling and qualified supervision are required. Individual risk and medical screening must guide each session.
